CoVerica is a premier, employee-owned independent insurance agency with over 40 years of history — and we're actively expanding across the Dallas-Fort Worth market. We're looking for a Global Construction Associate Account Manager to provide administrative support to our Heavy
Construction practice, partnering with Producers and senior Account Managers while building a strong, hands-on foundation in commercial property and casualty insurance.
Role Snapshot
• Compensation: $52,500 – $58,000 annually.
• Work Structure: Hybrid — 2 days in office per week (Thursdays mandatory; second day flexible).
• Primary Technology: Vertafore AMS360 Agency Management System.
• Insurance Experience: General lines insurance background is a plus, but not required — we';ll support you toward your Texas P&C license within your first 90 days.
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT COVERICA
• Recognized as a Top 10 DFW Fastest Growing Property & Casualty Insurance Agency by the Dallas Business Journal.
• In business for over 40 years, with an in-place succession plan to remain independent for the next 40.
• Part of the national SIAA network — together, we represent nearly $12.5 billion in insurance premium.
WHY COVERICA?
Because you shouldn't have to choose between the resources of a national carrier and the culture of a true independent. At CoVerica, you get both:
• The market access, carrier relationships, and technology of a premier, growing agency with over 40 years of history.
• The agility, autonomy, and true sense of ownership that only an independent, employee-owned firm can offer.
• A team that lives by two simple rules: we treat others as ourselves, and we do the right thing — even when it hurts.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Global Construction Associate Account Manager provides account management and administrative support to producers, executives, and senior account managers, while building foundational knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance in the Heavy Construction sector. Leveraging Vertafore AMS360, you will help manage a book of business, ensure documentation accuracy, and support the full account service cycle from marketing through renewal.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Account & Client Management
• Assist Producers and senior Account Managers in marketing new and renewal business — determining premiums, preparing presentation packets, and maintaining underwriting and marketing information by carrier.
• Develop and maintain proactive communication with clients and carrier underwriters on behalf of the
account team.
• Assist clients in submitting first reports of claims and coordinate follow-up with carriers.
• Respond to client needs on endorsements, certificates of insurance, and billing questions.
Policy Servicing & Documentation
• Process non-premium bearing endorsements accurately within agency guidelines.
• Order, audit, and organize historical loss runs from carrier systems.
• Produce accurate auto ID cards, policies, endorsements, and certificates of insurance (COI) within AMS360
once licensed.
• Maintain electronic client files in an orderly, up-to-date manner according to agency standards, and follow
agency Errors & Omissions (E&O) guidelines on every account.
Technology & Workflow Management
• Utilize AMS360 to run a structured workflow follow-up loop, monitoring outstanding carrier orders, client
correspondence, and past-due items.
• Meet agency, department, and account service goals and deadlines while managing a high-volume
personal workload.
Knowledge Building & Collaboration
• Build working knowledge of commercial rating procedures, coverages, and Heavy Construction industry
operations.
• Develop a full understanding of available insurance markets and how to place business within them.
• Coordinate productively with clients, multi-state carriers, external vendors, and internal agency teams —
including mandatory in-office Thursdays for peer mentoring and cross-team alignment.
• Take on special projects at management's request, and stay current on commercial insurance regulations,
coverage updates, and emerging risk management technology.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
• General lines insurance experience is a plus, but not required — we're looking for strong customer service or administrative experience and a genuine desire to grow into commercial insurance account management.
• Willingness to obtain a Texas General Lines Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance License within your first 90 days of employment (required after hire).
• Willingness to complete the Total CSR coursework program within your first 90 days of employment.
• Comfort navigating AMS360 or a comparable agency management system, agency databases, and spreadsheet formatting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills — the ability to distill complex insurance issues into clear, concise explanations for clients.
• Sharp attention to detail and the organizational skills to juggle multiple accounts, renewals, and deadlines at
once.
